She tries to hear some movements or sounds from the beside room. Her heart is beating wildly. Finally she breathes deeply and steps out the wall in order to stand between the door. The criminal is really in this room. He is prepared but the rookie not because she actually expected (or maybe hoped) that he will be in the next room which is not so exposed.
