The film goes into slow motion. Judi reacts in horror as she sees the cord appear in front of her and then in total surprise as it wraps around her throat. The film returns to normal speed as Judi struggles violently, trying to loosen the cord, clawing at the killer's arms (he is still behind her). We see close-ups and medium close-ups of her face as it contorts in agony, desperation and wide-eyed surprise, her mouth wide open and tongue protruding from time to time.
